   4 This command is similar to WHOIS, except it returns
   5 information about nicknames that were recently in use.
   6 Like WHOIS, it shows the nickname, address, real name,
   7 and server. It may also return multiple entries if the
   8 nickname has been used recently by several people. These
   9 multiples may be limited by specifying a count to show.

  11 WHOWAS will work regardless of whether the queried nick
  12 is in use. If no arguments are given, the client's current
  13 nickname is used.
