Mac OS X >= 10.7 support

Add support for compiling on Mac OS X 10.7 and newer.  Summary of changes:

 - Remove config.guess and config.sub and let the autodist to copy proper
   versions from the system.

 - Add support for autoconf 2.68 and newer.
